Scenic photos are easy to “take” but very difficult to “make”. The elements of a scene may appear picturesque when standing before it, but a photograph has no smell, no breezes, no taste or sound, without context the photograph may fail to inspire. The photographer must use insight and craft to convey the emotion of the scene, not just it's appearance.
